日本、行きましょ！(part 1)

Greetings from 日本! Finally arrived in the land of the rising sun. It still has not hit me that I'm here, I think being in Japan reminds me a lot of HK, so maybe that's why I'm able to be so at ease.

So, let's start with Day 0 - JFK airport -> Narita Airport -> Hotel Alpha-1 Mishima

9:25AM - Arrived at JFK, Terminal 4~!

Everyone getting ready for the big trip, notice that we are required to wear a mask requested by Nihon University.

10:00AM-1:00PM - Lots of waitin around for boarding.

Our lovely plane - Northwest Airline Flight #799, flying nonstop from JFK to Narita.
Some of us decided to get a drink before.

Some of us are just lounging around, with our laptops in hand....

while others are trying to catch some snooze.

1:00PM - Boarding! Good bye New York!

I've definitely been spoiled by the nice asian airlines, taking Delta for 12 hours is not as fancy as taking Cathay pacific, but I'll take it for the price I got my tickets for.

Here's the two lunches, and a snack, that were on board:

First meal, dinner roll (not pictured), Cucumber and beet salad, shrimp scampi, beef brisket with potatoes, and for dessert, a nice cookie brownie!

For a nice little snack, we got a small hard boiled egg and cucumber sandwich, some red seedless graps, and milano for dessert!
Last meal was chicken and rice with a side of carrots, fruit salad and orange juice. Of course we also get a nice dinner roll.

By the time the last meal was finished, we were getting ready to land at Narita airport, here are some failed aerial shots, and a few other shots around the runway:

4:30PM (Japan Time) Arried in Narita Airport!

There are more to come for Day 0/1. But I should get some sleep now, going to be meeting my host family - The Nishimura family tomorrow! I hope I get some time to post tomorrow morning.
